About the artist

I'm an environmental scientist and artist based in Pittsburgh, and my creative work centers on the deep, often healing connection between people and the natural world.

Nature has an incredible way of grounding and restoring us – even when we don’t always return the favor. Through my art, I aim to bring a sense of that peace and wonder indoors, offering viewers a brief but meaningful escape into the wild. Whether it’s a quiet forest scene or a bold wildlife portrait, I hope my work helps others reconnect with something innate and alive within themselves.

When I’m not painting, I’m often out in nature and working as an environmental scientist, supporting conservation and regulatory efforts throughout post-industrial Pittsburgh and the greater Northeast. My scientific background and creative practice inform one another, and I use art as a way to bridge the gap between these worlds – raising awareness about local ecosystems, environmental challenges, and the organizations working to protect them.

My work spans oils, acrylics, and watercolor, and I also photograph wildlife and landscapes throughout the Pittsburgh region and beyond. Through it all, I strive to spark a deeper appreciation for the natural world and its delicate balance with human life.
